HOW TO INSTALL &

USE YOUR NEW PRESETS!

Fist of all I just wanted to say THANK YOU for purchasing my presets. It’s so exciting knowing that you'll be using them too. I can’t wait to see what you create :)

I’ve made a step by step guide to help you install and use each preset on your mobile device. It’s a painless process, so let’s get started!

STEP 1

Getting your new presets onto your phone

  • With purchasing your new preset/presets you should have received an email titled “Your Digital Downloads”

  • That email includes the download link with your preset file/files. Once you click that link you will be directed to a page that looks somewhat like this… You’re going to click “more…”

  • Then you’re going to “Save Image”

  • Now go into your photos and make sure a blank, gray square is saved into your photos.

STEP 2

Downloading Lightroom Mobile

  • Now you will need to download Adobe Lightroom Mobile on your phone. This is a free app! Wooo

  • Once you have the app downloaded you will need to create an account

Step 3

Adding your preset to your Lightroom App

  • So in your Lightroom app you’re going to click the library button on the top left (looks like books lol)

  • Then you’re going to click the “add photo” button (outlined in red)

  • Once you click the add photos button it will pull up your photo library. You are going to add the photo that is all black and says DNG (this was once the blank, gray photo)

  • Once you click the DNG image it will say “cannot load image” ignore that and click the check mark in the right hand corner

  • You should now see an image of ME with the name of the preset written over it (yay)

  • Now we need to save that preset so you can use it on your photos.

STEP 4

Saving your new preset

  • To save your preset click on the preset image and click the “…” in the top right corner

  • Now click “create preset”

  • I suggest naming your preset it’s original name to keep them organized

  • Now under preset group… you can create a group called “by Chloe Wen presets” if you use other presets already or plan to download others!

  • Dont change any of the checked boxes! Changing those will alter the preset!

  • Now click the check mark to save.

STEP 5

Using your new preset on your photos!

  • To use your new preset add a photo to your library that you want to edit (same way you added the DNG file)

  • Open the image you’d like to edit and scroll through the bottom tool bar and select “presets”

  • Make sure you’re in the right preset folder where you saved the preset! (that’s why I suggest naming the folder)

  • Now click on the preset you just downloaded!

  • THATS IT! Congrats you’ve successfully downloaded and used a preset :)

STEP 6

Saving your edited photo

  • Once you’ve got your photo edited you’re going to want to save it to your photos

  • To save your photo click the box with the arrow in the top right corner

  • click save to camera roll

  • I like to save Maximum available but you can also save the smaller file option

  • Now if you go into your Photos on your phone it will be saved there!

NOW WHAT?

Each preset will need to be slightly tweaked within the Lightroom app, so don’t be afraid to play around with the exposure, saturation, etc.
