DINNER & A SHOW AT THE OPRY
Ever have those moments when you say to yourself "Is this real life?"
I definitely had one last Saturday night when I got to go to the Grand Ole Opry and meet Ellie Holcomb before her Opry debut! We ended up calling a much needed girl's night after a long week of work (and for me moving). Sometimes you just need to take care of yourself a have a good time with friends!

Before we headed to the show, we decided to grab dinner at Butchertown Hall. I've been here a few times now, and every single time I order their tacos! They are just too good... If you get the chance to go there, their brisket is unreal.

When we got seated at the show one of the Opry workers came to take us backstage! We had no idea that we would be be touring backstage during the show, so we got to meet the artists and see what it's like to be a performer for the night. The highlight of the evening for me was getting the chance to meet Ellie Holcomb, who was having her Opry debut that night! I've been listening to her music for a while now and have always admired her heart for God. By just listening to her lyrics it's so apparent how much love she has for people and what she does! I will always be a big supporter of her. You go girl!

BEING BACK STAGE
Something really special about the Opry is that they focus on creating a family-like atmosphere. Every person we met was so friendly and welcoming. We got taken through all of the dressing rooms to see where the artist would prepare for their set. Each room has been designed around different themes, and its so clear that each theme was so well thought out. It was truly an incredible experience, and the whole time I had to ask myself "is this real life?" I couldn't imagine a better way to spend the night than with my sweet friends at the Opry!
If you are visiting Nashville I highly suggest taking the Opry VIP tour! You'll get to have a similar experience touring backstage and see the dressing rooms, possibly running into your favorite artist and then watching the first number from the side stage as the curtain goes up! All while learning about the Opry history. It's worth doing at least once!
