Every now and then I think we all ask ourselves "am I on the right track to success and happiness?" Should I be working somewhere else? Should I be living somewhere else? Is where I'm at all life has to offer?
This is not all life has to offer. Your story is still being written, and I'm happy to be teaming up with Zappos & Kork-Ease to tell you about the chapter that I'm living right now!
HOW I GOT INTO BLOGGING.
and i wasn't even really trying....
People always ask me how I got into blogging, and my answer has been the same for everyone... I just kinda walked into it.
I wasn't trying to be a blogger until about a year ago. In fact if you had told me I was going to be a blogger 4 years ago I would have laughed because that wasn't even something I was interested in.
I started college as a voice major thinking I would end up doing something music related. Then I changed my major to graphic design and photography and started my freelance photography business (CW Design), shooting weddings, brands, local artist, etc. Then towards the end of the first semester my sophomore year I started a stationary business selling cards and prints. I was convinced that I would be carrying that business past graduation and doing that for a living. It wasn't until the second semester my sophomore year that I even began a blog!
THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
Being future focused.
Even though I changed my end goal 4 times in three years, one thing that never changed was my positive outlook on life and determination to find a way to do what I love. I didn't want work to feel like work!
I don't want to look back and wonder what life would be like if I had taken a chance. I want to take the chance every day to find what makes me happy.
The dream takes time. It doesn't happen overnight, and most of the time it changes with every season of life. In 5 years I may be doing something totally different, and that excites me!
I think the best way to live life is with open hands. To not hold on to anything to tightly. Friends, jobs, and dreams all change over time, and you have to be okay with that. You have to be open to change in order to keep moving forward.
