WEDDING WEAR WITH ADRIANNA PAPELL

Ever wondered "What do I wear to a wedding?" There are so many hidden rules for wedding attire... and the one that always gets me is NO WHITE! Most of my clothes are cream or white, so this always leaves me searching. In this blog post I'm talking all about wedding wear!

Now that we are hitting the hot months (at lease here in Nashville) it's important to choose something that is breathable, comfortable, and appropriate to wear to a wedding. This can be difficult and to be honest quite frustrating! There are so many dresses out there, but when it comes down to it you still want one that stays true to your style.

For my wedding attire (which I will be attending in the MIDDLE OF JULY) I went with a  Adrianna Papell high low dress. This one, however, is not your typical high-low dress. The embroidered tulle allows air flow, keeping the dress breathable and cool while also adding fullness to the shape. It has a classic A-line shape with a modest V-neck which is always appropriate for a wedding!

You always want to keep in mind one simple question.... "What would I want someone wearing to MY wedding?"

ADD POPS OF PERSONALITY!

You want your look to REPRESENT you, so don't feel like you have to settle when it comes to dressing for a wedding.

YOUR STATEMENT PIECE: This can be the dress itself or it can be your accessories. For this particular look I wanted the dress to be the main focus of the outfit, so I went with a patterned/embroidered design. It takes the normal high-low to the next level, and adds dimension and texture to the look! Having pieces that create interest is something that I like to consider when putting together a look.

THE SHOES: There are a couple of ways you can go with choosing a shoe.  Recently I've been really into studded pieces, so naturally I chose to pair the feminine dress with contrasting shoe. This adds interest to the look and keeps the eye moving throughout the entire look rather than just on the dress! If you are wanting to go for a more classic look a velvet or leather scrappy heel would work just as well. I like to take the less traditional

THE JEWELRY: Add in pieces that catch the eye but don't distract from the overall look. I decided to go with a simple gold drop earring. Instead of the minimal studs that I normally wear, I thought that pairing a larger earring would balance out the look. Carrying the eye from head to toe!
