7 Outfits For Your Week Episode 3 // my fist trimester outfit ideas!
Well, the secret is out - if you saw my video last week, you’ll know that I am pregnant! In this video I am about 13 weeks along, and I’m really starting to feel the difference my body and the way clothes fit! I may not be showing like crazy yet, but I can tell that is just around the corner. If you’ve ever been pregnant, you know the struggle of finding flattering outfits that you actually fit in! I’m excited about the challenge of styling this season of life. I’m hoping to give you guys some good ideas if your body is changing, or if you are pregnant like me! For this weeks 7 outfits for your week, I leaned less into the workwear direction I typically take these videos, and more into some outfits I’m enjoying lately!
Like always, I’ve got each outfit I featured in the video is laid out below in an easy to visualize format to make shopping the looks a breeze! I do receive a small commission (at no additional cost to you) if you choose to shop via the links below. Doing so helps me continue making these videos for y’all! Enjoy!
Monday
Top: Small (brown), Bottoms: 25 Short (dark brown)
To kick these off for Monday, I’m going a tried and true combo of an oversized cardigan and some tailored pants! This cardigan from Abercrombie reminds me so much of my Jenni Kayne cardigans, but it’s so much more affordable! This is technically a cropped cardigan, so I sized up 2 sizes for that oversized fit! This is also probably the last time I will be fitting in my Abercrombie Sloane pants for the next 6 months, which breaks my heart! If you follow me closely, you’ll notice I sized up in these to a 25 as well. Typically I am a 23 or 24 short. I would order true to size if you aren’t pregnant like me ;)
Tuesday
Top: Small, Bottoms: 24 Short (grey)
Tuesday is a sleek classic. You can’t go wrong with an all black fit. Loving these new Abercrombie Loose Jeans. I feel like I got pregnant at the perfect time, because oversized bottoms are having a serious moment right now. These are so comfy, and well, loose! Paired with these sleek black ankle boots from Madewell, I like the darcy boots because they are a change of pace from the classic western chelsea boot I usually reach for. They are slighty taller, and they have a zipper on the inside, which makes the outside super sleek! I also can’t shut up about this essential mini tote from Madewell. This bag is just so timeless and functional, I will be hanging onto this one for a while! I even grabbed it in another color :)
Wednesday
Dress: XS
Wednesday is a celebration of all things fall & cozy. There is truly nothing more comfortable then an oversized sweater dress. It literally feels like I’m wearing a blanket. It’s super thick and I love the cuffed sleeves. Paired with brown acessories, this might just be my pregnancy uniform lol
Thursday
Sweater: XS, Skirt: Size 0 (i would recommend sizing down from your normal size)
Thursday’s look makes me feel like a character on gossip girl. There are so many details about this outfit that makes it so so good! The wool skirt from Madewell in the perfect autumn green, the cableknit, the heeled loafers, it’s all so good. I did want to highlight this headband from revolve. A headband is in my opinion such an underrated accessory that really elevates an outfit.
Friday
Sweater: Small, Bottoms: 00 Petite
Friday’s look is so fall, I am obsessed. I love pairing a white or cream top with white or cream shoes, I think it just elevates a look! These western style chelsea boots from Madewell are such a vibe. My bottoms are the Madewell Harlow Wide Leg pants, which have been my go to trouser style pant since getting pregnant. They fit quite a bit looser than the Abercrombie Sloan tailored pants, so you’ll notice that I’m still wearing a 00 in those. For my sweater, I am doing my favorite trick with regular length sweaters which is tucking them up under a bra to make them hit where you want them to on your frame. These free people bras are perfect for this. I made a whole video about different ways to do that, which I will link here.
Saturday
Romper: XS, Vest: XXS (I would recommend sizing down in this)
Saturday’s outfit features this fun romper from Revolve! This is such a fun and sleek active wear piece that would be so cute for going on a walk with the dogs, grabbing brunch with friends, etc. On top of the romper I layered this cute oversized quilted vest from Madewell. I like how monochromatic this outfit is with the black on bottom, and all beige accessories from Lululemon. The city adventurer belt bag is a nice change from the classic belt bag, without compromising any function, plus it’s a bit bigger too!
Saturday Pumpkin Patch Outfit
Honestly this week’s bonus outfit is cracking me up! I’m usually not one to reach for an all denim fit, but I was envisioning going to the pumpkin patch with Jason on a crisp fall afternoon, and I couldn’t help myself! These are Abercrombie’s new 90s high rise relaxed fit jeans, and again, I am loving all these brands coming out with more relaxed fitting pants right when your girl needs it most. Paired here with this cute bag from Dolce Vita, this is a true autumn in Tennessee kind of look!
Sunday
Dress: XS Petite
Sunday’s outfit features this STUNNING deep brown/Burgundy fitted sweater wrap dress. It’s not actually a wrap dress, but it appears to be one, so it’s so flattering, without the worries of anything flying open! I actually wore this dress for our pregnancy announcement photoshoot last week I loved it so much! Paired with my Gucci chain wallet and these tan heels from Madewell!

Finding activewear that actually fits when you're petite is tricky, but luckily Lululemon seems to always have what I need! This haul has the perfect summer pieces for exercising or just running errands - petite approved (I’m 5’2). Plus this butter yellow color might be one of the best colors to wear in the summer!
