Anyone who knows me knows just how much I love a contemporary, artistic aesthetic; that’s why I decided to splurge on a Samsung Frame TV! The aesthetic of this frame tv is truly just magical; I love how seamlessly the tv fits with the rest of the contemporary decor throughout the rest of our house. If you love a modern and simplistic look, this is the perfect tv for you.
One of the coolest things about this tv is just how much it looks like a frame; most of the time, you aren’t even able to tell that this is a tv. It’s flush against the wall, it has a textured screen that changes with light and shadow depending on the time of the day to look more realistic. It feels as though you are getting more for your money, a tv and wall art, which makes the steep price tag feel a little more worth it!
A handy feature for when you’re purchasing this frame tv is that the wall mount is included. Knowing that you have everything you need to set the tv up makes it even more effortless.
CONS
Although the wall mount is included within the tv, it is difficult to hang. We actually had our frame tv professionally installed due to how complicated it is. The tv mounts at two points, so you have to be precise when mounting it. If you’re not exact, it is very obvious that the TV is not level. If you’re willing to invest in the professional installation, this is an easy problem to counteract.
Something that is a necessity but not included with the TV are the Bezels (the frame). These must be purchased separately, and they’re not cheap by any means (close to $200). For the frame tv to honestly fit the desired, modern aesthetic, choosing the proper Bezel is crucial.
A smaller, but still prominent con to the frame tv is the fact that the remote that is included has an extremely short battery life. It can be frustrating depending on how much tv you watch, so this is something to be aware of and prepared for.
OVERALL, HONEST OPINION OF THE SAMSUNG FRAME TV
Beyond the limited remote life, most of the cons associated with the Samsung Frame TV are able to easily be counteracted, if you are willing to invest further than just purchasing the tv itself. If you are willing to really invest in the tv, the installation, and the Bezel, you honestly won’t experience any cons with the tv. I can’t express to you enough how happy we have been with the purchase of this frame tv; it has added an incredible, artistic element to our home while also allowing us to comfortably watch our favorite shows and movies.
